LAND ROVER AND LIFEFLIGHT PARTNERSHIP BOOSTS RESCUE CAPABILITY

The new Land Rover LifeFlight Special Mission helicopter is boosting LifeFlight’s rescue capability across land, air and sea.

This specially configured chopper with advanced response capability performs search and rescue operations up to 400km offshore, both at night and during the day. One of only a few aircrafts of its type, this unique helicopter can be operated in extreme weather conditions, can ‘lock on’ to heat signatures to find missing people, track people in real time, and find wreckage and debris that are not easily visible.

Available for immediate service, the helicopter will be used for a diverse range of operations including search and rescue, law enforcement, firefighting support, surveillance, aeromedical and disaster response operations. It’s as capable in the air as the new Defender is on land, together helping LifeFlight tackle the most challenging search and rescue operations.

Learn more about this important partnership and some of the helicopter’s impressive capabilities in this short video.
