Even after two decades, the valued partnership between Land Rover Australia and the Australian Red Cross remains steadfast.

Now, as we move into a third decade of support, our intention is clear: to continue to help the people who help Australia when times are tough (and they certainly don’t come any more challenging than in 2020).

In the aftermath of a devastating bushfire season at the beginning of 2020, we upped our commitment of help by providing a further 20 Land Rover vehicles to assist the Red Cross as they came to the aid of over 50,000 people in fire-effected regional communities. And with many of these communities now more difficult to access as a result of the fires, our 4x4 vehicles acted as a critical lifeline, deploying Red Cross teams far and wide to help residents cope with the psychological impacts of a natural disaster.

On the back of the bushfires came the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of the Red Cross’ humanitarian response in Australia, efforts were also directed to help communities feel safe, calm and connected while in isolation during the pandemic. In Queensland alone, the Red Cross has assisted more than 5,000 people in self isolation.

As this monumental bushfire and COVID-19 response continues, make no mistake, we’ll always go above and beyond to supply the vehicles capable enough to help the Red Cross get to where they’re needed the most.
