RANGE ROVER UNVEILS LANDMARK INSTALLATION AT MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2025 CELEBRATING A LEGACY OF DESIGN, INNOVATION AND THE FUTURE OF MODERN LUXURY.
Milan Design Week is one of the world’s foremost design events, renowned for showcasing pioneering work across architecture, interiors, industrial design and automotive innovation. The annual celebration serves as a global stage for brands and creatives to debut visionary concepts, often brought to life through immersive, multisensory experiences. It’s a moment where design meets culture, and innovation takes centre stage.
For Milan Design Week 2025, Range Rover presented its first-ever landmark installation: Futurespective: Connected Worlds, created in collaboration with California-based innovation design studio NUOVA.
Set within the neoclassical grandeur of Palazzo Belgioioso, the installation offered a dynamic journey through time. Connecting Range Rover’s storied past to its modern-day expression of luxury. A striking 25-metre monolith, located in the heart of Piazza Belgioioso, featured a gold Range Rover brand motif. Acting as both a sculptural centrepiece and symbolic gateway into the experience.
FUTURESPECTIVE: CONNECTED WORLDS
The installation was structured around two immersive capsules that reflected distinct chapters in Range Rover’s design journey:
THE HERITAGE CAPSULE. Inspired by a 1970s car showroom, this space featured the first pre-production Classic Range Rover, the iconic YVB 151H, in its original Olive Green. Surrounding the vehicle, custom furnishings designed by NUOVA, including an oxblood red sofa and a white Carrara marble Enzo table, evoked the retro-modern spirit of the era.
THE MODERN CAPSULE. Representing the present and future of Range Rover, this capsule showcased the fifth-generation Range Rover Autobiography, finished in a Bespoke metallic green. Enhanced by custom scents and immersive soundscapes, this space embodied the brand’s forward-thinking ethos and commitment to refinement, innovation and sustainability.
Open to the public from 8 - 11 April 2025, the installation offered a rare opportunity to experience Range Rover’s design evolution in an entirely new context. At the intersection of architecture, memory and modernity.
A BRAND PHILOSOPHY OF TIMELESS INNOVATION
Futurespective: Connected Worlds reflected Range Rover’s core design values: heritage, modern luxury and progressive innovation. By placing the 1970 Classic alongside its modern counterpart, Range Rover celebrated over five decades of evolution, while reaffirming its design DNA and future vision.
The multisensory design, ranging from bespoke furniture to olfactory and auditory experiences, demonstrates Range Rover’s ongoing dedication to creating interiors that are both emotionally resonant and technologically advanced. The installation was also a powerful expression of Range Rover’s belief in luxury by design, and continued role as a leader in the global luxury automotive landscape.
