LAND ROVER AND RANGE ROVER – WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

Land Rover and Range Rover are both iconic British automotive brands. Land Rover has been manufacturing authentic 4x4s since 1948 and lends itself as a 'mark of trust' to three distinct brand that define the global SUV sector: Discovery, Defender and Range Rover.

Use our comparison tool above to compare the differences between Defender and Discovery models, or visit our Range Rover comparison tool to explore models within the Range Rover brand.

DEFENDER

Defender was the world's first successful civilian 4x4. Purposefully designed and seriously durable, it's available as the compact and striking two-door Defender 90, the iconic and versatile Defender 110, or as an 8-seater go-anywhere Defender 130. If you're looking for a commercial vehicle, Defender is also available as a Defender Hard Top.

DISCOVERY

Discovery is one of the most capable and versatile full seven-seat luxury SUVs in the world, combining exceptional design with comfort and capability that the whole family can enjoy. Discovery Sport offers seven seats in a footprint no larger than existing five-seat premium SUVs. Both variants are available as an electric hybrid.
